Yeah, another older topic, but I decided to take a look at it.
The link for your test, Tim, is probably outdated, as I'm sure you maybe have something newer, but I tell ya, I like how it works, especially loading the forum into the same page.
I know I need to get some more images done for you, just been kinda busy. Also, I want to use a fancier 404 and 401 page, like we used to have for the older MI/MP site, if possible. Might pop around later tonight to take a look at a couple of things.
One of the design themes that Ive always been a fan of is a tabbed design, not only from a standalone app point of view but also from a web perspective. Awhile ago, while thinking of a new design for the Mightor Industries site, I started doing some searching for tabbed designs. I came across a very good set of articles from A List Apart on a Sliding Doors Technique for building tabs in CSS. They do a very good job of describing the technique, as well as showing you how to build it. The nice thing about CSS is that it allows you to build a somewhat complex layout without taking a performance hit. Both articles list how to achieve CSS tabs.
