For the Updates section, I just now changed permissions for that board (the one you're currently viewing). Since it is an 'update' section, meant for posting updates and changes to the forum, I set the permissions to not allow regular members to post new topics.
The reasoning behind this is since only Admins and Mods can make changes to this forum, they should be the only ones posting new updates. MI Site Members can post new topics too, but I doubt many will anyway.
Keep in mind, regular members cannot create new topics in this section, but they can still reply to posts.
If you (regular member) have an idea for a change/update, please use the 'Suggestions' board, found under the 'Main' section (the same section as this, the 'Updates', board is found), and we will review it and make the changes, if necessary.
